About the Programme
Sanlam is offering a 13-month Accelerated Development Programme for soon-to-be or recent graduates who want to join the Sanlam Data, AI and Engineering Academy, previously known as the Sanlam Data and Digital Academy.
The programme is for bright, curious graduates who want to build technical, analytical and business skills while working on real business problems within the Sanlam Analytics and Group Technology ecosystems.
Sanlam is the largest and most diverse non-banking financial services organisation in Africa, and it is now expanding into a banking and lending partnership with TymeBank. Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience in an environment that is growing quickly.

During the Programme
You will receive ongoing technical training, real-world enterprise experience, business acumen and competency-based training in a professional environment. Coaching and mentorship will come from subject matter experts in the Sanlam Technology and Sanlam Analytics teams.
You will work across functions and rotate through different IT and business teams, which will help you find the best fit for your skills and interests. You will also take part in innovation competitions and tech learning days, including the SGT Data Day and hackathons, and receive functional training from world-class facilitators on leading IT and BI tools.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a BCom, BSc, BTech or BEng in one of the following fields:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Data Analytics
- Business Intelligence
- Statistics
- Mathematics
- Finance
- Actuarial Science
- Industrial Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Please note:
- Only candidates who already hold a degree, or will obtain one by the end of 2026, will be considered.
- Previous work experience is not required, but you should not have more than 12 months of related post-university professional working experience.
- Experience gained through a work-integrated learning programme does not count as professional working experience.
