Fraser Alexander is inviting applications for graduate and workplace experience programmes in Human Resources, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. These programmes give young South Africans hands-on experience in a professional working environment. Applications close on 25 September 2026.
HR Graduate (x2) – Gauteng (Ref: FA-1679)
This contract programme gives graduates advanced workplace learning in a challenging, generalist HR environment, with exposure to HR management in an international organisation. Learning areas include:
- Recruitment and selection
- Policy design and implementation
- Administration and employee life cycle management
- Employee and labour relations
- Benefits administration
- Stakeholder and customer engagement
- HR information systems
- HR analytics and reporting
Requirements:
- BA or BCom (Honours) in Human Resources Management or Social Sciences
- Medically fit
- Unemployed graduate who has not previously been employed or participated in a similar graduate programme
- Willing to be deployed anywhere in the country where there is a business need
- Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Attention to detail, initiative and good communication skills
Duration: 1 to 2 years. Salary: market related.
P1/P2 Workplace Experience Programme – Electrical Engineering, Emalahleni (Ref: FA-1678)
This programme helps students bridge the gap between academic learning and practical electrical engineering in a professional workplace. You will apply your theoretical knowledge, develop practical competencies, learn from experienced engineering professionals and build workplace communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Studying towards a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Completed S4 and in need of P1/P2 workplace experience
- Registered with a recognised South African tertiary institution
- P1/P2 placement letter or confirmation from your institution
- Latest academic record
- Able to commit to the full duration of the programme
Duration: 9 to 12 months. Salary: market related.
P1/P2 Workplace Experience Programme – Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering students also have the opportunity to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical application of mechanical engineering principles in a professional working environment. Students who meet the P1/P2 requirements above and are studying towards a Mechanical Engineering qualification are encouraged to apply.
