Eskom’s Lethabo Power Station in Deneysville, Free State, has opened applications across several graduate and internship programmes. These roles form part of Eskom’s structured development pipeline, offering candidates institutionalised, on-the-job training within one of South Africa’s largest power utilities. Eskom has been certified as a Top Employer South Africa for 2026, its second consecutive year holding this recognition.
The following positions are currently available:
Engineer in Training x9 (Mechanical, C&I, Electrical Heavy Current, Electrical Light Current, Electronics, Mechatronics, Chemical)
Candidates must hold a fully completed BEng or BSc Eng in one of the above disciplines. Applicants will go through Eskom’s recruitment process and, if successful, be placed across Eskom’s operations divisions. Closing date: 5 October 2026.
Learner Intern (University of Technology) x2 — Quality Assurance
Requires a fully completed Advanced Diploma or BTech in Engineering or Quality Management. Closing date: 2 October 2026.
Graduate in Training x1 — Environmental Management
Requires a fully completed BSc/BDegree in Environmental Science. Applicants may apply online or submit a detailed CV, certified ID copy, and certified qualification copies at the Power Station security gate. Closing date: 2 October 2026.
Graduate in Training x2 — Finance
Requires a fully completed BCom Degree in Accounting. Closing date: 2 October 2026.
Graduate in Training x4 — Procurement and Supply Chain Management
Requires a fully completed BCom/BA in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transport, or Commerce. Closing date: 2 October 2026.
Common requirements across all positions
Applicants must be South African citizens.
