Sasol, a global integrated chemicals and energy company with a 75-year heritage, is offering unemployed young South Africans the opportunity to gain a foothold in the corporate world through its 2026 Administration Learnership programme.
This is a 12-month fixed-term learnership combining structured theoretical training with practical, on-the-job experience. Learners will provide administrative support within Sasol’s business units, helping to improve the effectiveness of managers and departments while building real workplace readiness.
Programme Overview
The learnership is aligned to a registered NQF Learnership qualification and is designed to build foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, computer literacy, and basic business principles. Successful candidates will rotate between classroom-based learning and practical placement, gaining exposure to the day-to-day realities of a corporate administrative environment.

- Communication Skills
- Computer Skills
Where You’ll Be Based
Sasol is recruiting for this intake across five locations: Alrode, Germiston, Sandton, Sasolburg, and Secunda. Applicants should indicate their preferred location and are encouraged to apply to the site nearest them.
Who Should Apply
This opportunity is aimed at Grade 12 graduates who are ready to develop essential professional skills and are serious about building a career. To qualify, candidates must:
- Have a completed National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Be between 18 and 29 years of age
- Be currently unemployed
- Not currently be enrolled in full-time or part-time study
What You’ll Be Expected to Do
Learners will be required to fully participate in the learnership programme, complete all assessments, and take part in workplace readiness activities designed to prepare them for long-term employment.

Beyond the technical administrative competencies, the programme is built to strengthen a range of behavioural and technical capabilities that employers value, including nimble learning, workflow management, action planning, adherence to policies and procedures, managing complexity, self-development, performance improvement, self-awareness, executing and coordinating work, and accountability.
