Raubex is offering an exciting opportunity for final-year Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering students to join its Raumix Aggregates business unit within the Construction Materials division. This graduate opportunity is based in Pretoria and offers hands-on exposure to quarry and crushing plant operations, giving graduates the chance to build real engineering competence within a leading construction materials environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidates will assist with the maintenance and reliability of quarry and crushing plant equipment, supporting both preventative and corrective maintenance activities on mechanical systems and machinery. The role involves monitoring equipment performance to identify opportunities for improving plant efficiency and reducing downtime, as well as participating in fault-finding, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting of mechanical breakdowns.
Graduates will assist in implementing engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards across all operational areas. Daily duties include inspecting conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, motors, and other plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
The role also includes assisting with maintenance planning, scheduling, and reporting activities, and analysing maintenance and operational data to improve equipment reliability and productivity. Close collaboration with production, maintenance, and engineering teams will be required to achieve operational targets, along with developing technical reports, maintenance records, and engineering documentation.
