About the Role
Abbott is looking for a motivated recent graduate to join the BTS team as an IT Support Intern. You will get hands-on exposure to IT support, service delivery, Microsoft 365 administration, asset management and IT operations inside a global healthcare organisation.
What You Will Work On
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software and Microsoft 365 issues
- Log, monitor and update support tickets using IT service management tools
- Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment allocation and account setup
- Assist with user account administration, password resets and access requests
- Maintain IT asset inventories and equipment records
- Update IT documentation, knowledge articles and standard operating procedures
- Follow up on incidents and service requests to ensure timely resolution
- Assist with testing new hardware, software and technology solutions
- Support IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Deliver professional, customer-focused support to end users
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, ICT or a related field
- No previous work experience required
Advantageous
- CompTIA A+, N+ or S+ certification
- Internship, learnership, practical training or technical support exposure
