About the opportunity
Eskom is offering bursaries covering a wide range of non-technical degree disciplines, giving successful applicants the chance to study while being groomed for a future within one of South Africa’s most influential energy institutions. Note that diploma qualifications will not be considered under this programme — only Bachelor’s degree studies at a recognised public South African university qualify.

Minimum requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Grade 11 final results or Grade 12 Certificate
- Conditional acceptance to study one of the listed degrees at a public South African university (where available)
- Applicants must not currently hold any other bursary
Selection criteria
Applications will be assessed on Grade 11 final results or Grade 12 Certificate results, along with conditional acceptance into an applicable Bachelor’s degree programme at a recognised public university. Grade 11 year-end results will be considered at this stage, but a final decision will depend on 2026 matric results. Shortlisted applicants may also be required to undergo a psychometric assessment.
