A leading manufacturing company based in Industria, Johannesburg is looking to appoint a motivated Engineering Graduate to join its engineering team. This is a strong opportunity for a recent graduate eager to gain practical, hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced engineers and maintenance professionals while building valuable technical and operational skills.
The successful candidate will support both maintenance and production teams, gaining broad exposure to plant equipment, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement processes across a busy manufacturing operation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the maintenance and production teams with technical problem-solving
- Participate in equipment inspections, fault investigations, and root cause analysis
- Assist with preventative maintenance planning and implementation
- Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and engineering drawings where required
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support production objectives
- Gain exposure to manufacturing processes, plant equipment, and engineering best practices
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Recent graduate or 0–2 years’ relevant engineering experience
- Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Exposure to AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software will be advantageous
- Knowledge of maintenance principles and manufacturing processes will be beneficial
- A valid driver’s licence will be advantageous
