About the Role
Winding Technologies is hiring a Junior Engineering Assistant to support the Engineering Manager with daily administrative, project and technical tasks. This is a hands-on entry-level position for someone who wants to build a career in transformer engineering. You will work alongside experienced engineers and learn how transformers are designed, manufactured and tested.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering calculations, design sheets and technical documents under supervision
- Help prepare quotations, scopes of work, assessments and test reports
- Capture and organise design data, test results and project records
- Track project progress, deadlines and outstanding actions
- Follow up with suppliers and coordinate with production, procurement and the test bay
- Prepare meeting minutes, correspondence and progress updates
Requirements
- A qualification in Electrical Engineering (N6 or S4)
- Good numerical and analytical skills, with confidence in using Microsoft Excel
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and good communication abilities
- Willingness to learn transformer design, manufacturing and testing
- Previous engineering or manufacturing experience will be an advantage
