Eskom Learner Artisan Programme: Mechanical, Electrical, C&I and Civil — Apply by 11 September 2026

Eskom is offering learnership opportunities for aspiring artisans at Arnot Power Station in Rietkuil, Mpumalanga. This is a structured apprenticeship combining institutionalised and on-the-job training, designed to develop the next generation of technical talent within South Africa’s electricity, energy and water supply sector.

Positions are available across four disciplines:

Mechanical — 4 posts
Electrical — 3 posts
Control & Instrumentation (C&I) — 3 posts
Civil — 2 posts

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications, relevant to their chosen discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Measurement Control and Instrumentation, or Civil):

  • National N6 Certificate with Trade Subjects, or
  • National N4/N5 Certificate with Trade Subjects, or
  • Grade 12 with Mathematics 50%, Physical Science 50% and English 40%, or
  • N3 with Mathematics 50%, Science 50% and English 40%, or
  • NCV Level 4 with Mathematics 50%, Science 50% and English 40%

Applicants must be South African citizens. No prior work experience is specified as a requirement.

Successful candidates will go through a recruitment process and, if selected, will be placed within Eskom’s Operations across various divisions.
