As a registered ECSA company with over 40 engineers across its Group of Companies, Route Management is opening its Engineering Graduate Programme 2027 to passionate, driven engineering graduates ready to launch their careers in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This programme offers hands-on exposure across multiple engineering disciplines, giving successful candidates the opportunity to work closely with experienced industry professionals while applying their academic knowledge to real-world projects.

Mechanical Engineering graduates will design trailers and trailer components, oversee manufacturing processes for new designs, conduct fault-finding, and drive innovation through research, redesign, and the design and manufacture of industrial equipment and systems.

Electrical Engineering graduates will develop and test electrical devices and equipment including communication systems, power generators, motors, navigation systems, and electrical systems. Responsibilities include electrical design, drafting, technical support, fault-finding and repair, CNC machine design, energy-efficient and alternative energy system design, and compiling electrical system analysis reports.

Mechatronics/Electromechanical Engineering graduates will work with PLC systems and automation software, provide first-line support for electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, optimise asset reliability through proactive maintenance, and engage in industrial automation, systems integration, and IT and CAD support.

Civil/Structural Engineering graduates will plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of structures and facilities, apply sustainable design principles, coordinate across disciplines, prepare project documentation and cost estimates, and carry out on-site supervision.

Requirements

  • B.Eng or B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Civil, or Structural Engineering
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong time management skills
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Willingness to receive training in other provinces

Remuneration: Market related
